Online bookings must be completed by 6:00 AM on day of rental. Walk-ins are always accepted.

BIKE RENTALS IN OCEAN CITY MARYLAND

Our six bike rental shops are located at: S Atlantic Ave in Trimper's Rides, 6 Caroline Street, 1st Street, 8th Street Boardwalk, 18th Street Boardwalk and 27th Street Boardwalk in Ocean City, Maryland. Our S Atlantic Ave, Caroline Street and 1st Street locations are just a few steps off the boardwalk on the ocean block. Our 8th Street, 18th Street and 27th Street locations are directly on the boardwalk. There is plenty of parking right in front of our bike rental shop on Caroline Street or on most side streets.

BIKE WORLD UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP

Barbie and John Barrett purchased the iconic Bike World shop from former owner Allen Sklar who started the business in 1978. They now run four boardwalk Bike World locations with their two children Taylor and James. They rent only top of the line aluminum bicycles and Italian surreys. Bike World is a local landmark here in Ocean City, Maryland.

HOURS OF OPERATION

In the summer, June - August, we are open from 6:00am to 12:00pm. We are open every day April - September weather permitting. Generally if it's over fifty degrees, we are open. During the winter we may open weekends if the weather is good. Please give us a call before coming if the weather is "iffy" 410-289-2453 (BIKE).

OUR BIKE RENTALS

GET UP EARLY AND RIDE A SURREY

Surreys come in two sizes; the large can seat 6 adults and 2 small children, the small 3 adults and 2 small children. Surreys are the perfect way to take a leisurely ride with the whole family. No balancing or special skills required! Easy to pedal and steer, they are the ultimate way to enjoy the boardwalk.
BIKE WORLD FUN CYCLES

Fun Cycles have 3 wheels and steer by leaning, it takes only a minute of practice until you are an expert! A great way to enjoy the boardwalk, they come in two sizes, kids and adults. One of our most popular rental items! Also great for anyone who never learned to balance a regular bike.
BIKE WORLD BMX

BMX bikes have always been popular with our younger riders. We have both coaster brake models and hand brake ones for the more experienced riders. We also have smaller sizes and training wheels if needed.
BIKE WORLD CHOPPERS

They are like a 3 wheeled motorcycle only a lot more fun! The seats adjust for the rider's leg length and come in small and large sizes. No balancing required so younger kids who cannot ride yet can still look cool and enjoy some independence! Bigger kids and adults enjoy the laid back riding position and long "chopper" steering wheel. The newest way to do the boardwalk.
BIKE WORLD REGULAR BIKES

We rent only "top-of-the-line" aluminum bikes, assuring you of a smooth, easy to pedal riding experience. All our adult bikes feature coaster brakes for dependable stopping and aluminum wheels for light weight. Extra soft seats make the ride almost effortless.
BIKE WORLD TANDEMS

All aluminum tandems are easy to pedal and feature both coaster brake and hand brakes for quick dependable stopping. Great fun for couples.
